Welcome to our Big Conversation
This summer we are asking you to reflect, connect and commit to refreshing The Leeds Way
A big Trust-wide online conversation is taking place, and everyone is invited!
We’re asking each of you to spend some time this summer looking at the vision, values and behaviours that make up The Leeds Way – the ethos that underpins all that we do here at Leeds Teaching Hospital – and challenge how we can improve or adapt what it is we do to make our Trust a better place to work to enhance our working lives and the experiences of our patients. Our Big Conversation is now closed
We can do this together, The Leeds Way
To get involved in live conversations, to become a Value Maker, or simply to find out more, visit our intranet page on https://intranet.leedsth.nhs.uk/a-summer-of-connecting/
Why we are doing this
We want to bring together the collective knowledge, experience, and commitment of our people to review and refresh The Leeds Way.
Following the pandemic, we find ourselves in a new operating context which is defining the challenges ahead that we now need to address and overcome.
We want to come together as a Trust to co-create practical guidance and recommendations for how we face up to our current challenges and what we do together to achieve new success, allowing us all the opportunity to commit to a refreshed sense of purpose and direction.
How it works
In order for us all to connect this summer and reflect, we’re all invited to join the online conversation on Wayfinder, the interactive online platform which allows open discussion, similar to a traditional in-person workshop, but it is more inclusive, accessible and transparent. Allowing each and every one of us to have our voice heard, in a safe and anonymous space.
Everything you say will be analysed independently, so you can feel safe to share what you really think.
The online conversation is:
- Anonymous – your name is not attached to anything you share
- For everyone working at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, whether you are full-time, part-time, a volunteer or a bank worker – we want to hear your voice
- The chance to share your own ideas as well as read, vote and comment on the ideas of others
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while the conversation is live
- Accessible from wherever you may be – on any computer, tablet or smartphone
What to expect
Throughout the summer there will be many opportunities for everyone, at every level, to have conversations, formal and informal, about making sure The Leeds Way remains immediately relevant and, most importantly, useful to us all.
The online conversation is just one of these ways and will be live from 11 July. You will receive an email with your own unique login details – please do take the time to take part and make sure your voice is heard.
Also taking place will be local events and discussions, staff networking events, in-person opportunities to share your views via digital hubs and roaming ipads as well as face-to face drop-in sessions with execs and senior leaders.
In September, our independent partners Clever together will analyse everything you have shared so in October we can feedback to you the insights we have learned and the action that will be taken.
